It was previously stated on Treehouse Live that the Nintendo Switch will support up to 256GB Micro SDXC cards but Nintendo claim the Switch can in fact support up to 2TB.
We have some good news for those of you who don't miss the Wii days of treating your system as a 'fridge' because it seems the relatively low amount of on-board storage (32GB) can be upgraded vastly with SD cards up to 2TB in storage.
2TB memory cards aren't currently on the market, they are set to be available in around a years time, whereas 1TB SD cards are relatively new and expensive.
Still, it's reassuring to know that there doesn't seem to be much of a limit when it comes to expanding your Switch storage and the system appears to be rather future-proof in that department, something Nintendo famously aren't known for.
Do you plan to Expand Switch upon release?
