The Cave is an eagerly anticipated title set to release next year on PSN, XBLA and now... the Wii U eShop. Whether or not it will arrive at the same time as the other versions, or have any Wii U exclusive content, has yet to be revealed.

The title is being developed by Double Fine and the Wii U announcement comes from Rod Gilbert, known for the incredible Tales of Monkey Island series. 

The Cave follows the adventures of seven heroes exploring a cave system, each of whom possess their own reasons for venturing down into the deep unknown. The Cave will feature lots of puzzle environments but don't worry, you can play co-op with a friend if it seems all too overwhelming. 

The title is set to involve the same blend of humour and puzzle solving that Double Fine are known for as well as boasting some beautiful visuals.
