Another update for Tears of the Kingdom is out now, following last weeks update which saw a few minor bug fixes and frame-rate improvements. This update, version 1.1.2, fixes a few small problems, such as the deafening audio glitch and an issue found in one of the early quests. Here’s the official word from Nintendo:

Ver. 1.1.2 (Released May 25, 2023)

Audio Bug Fixes

Fixed an issue where the sound would play at an extremely high volume in certain conditions.

Additional Fixes

Fixed an issue in the main quest, “Camera Work in the Depths”, where players could not progress beyond a certain point. Downloading the update will allow players to proceed past that point.

Several issues have been addressed to improve the gameplay experience.

That’s all Nintendo has to say on the matter, but their last statement, the vague “several issues have been addressed to improve the gameplay experience”, is an interesting one.

While Nintendo haven’t officially stated it, this update removes the duplication glitch, which has been widely used since launch by players to farm extra rupees and materials.
