The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct is set to release on Wii U March 29th but unlike its predecessor (a point-and-click adventure released on Other Formats last year) this game is a first-person shooter.

Survival Instinct is based on the TV show instead of the comics and is developed by Terminal Reality. Whilst the game is being released on multiple platforms, the Wii U version is set to receive special treatment and benefit from the GamePad. 

Glenn Gamble, producer of the title, says that the Wii U version feels a lot more 'streamlined'.

"With Wii U you have access to your backpack at all times, so you can tap what weapons you want, you can drop stuff. It's a lot more streamlined."
