This rather peculiar looking controller suddenly appeared on the website of Australian store EB Games. They have dubbed the beast Wii U Controller - SNES version. 

The controller doesn't seem too different to the regular version, other than the obvious SNES design nestled within its warm, silver shell and the addition of the classic "Start" and "Select" buttons. 

You wouldn't be judged for thinking this is just a very bad Photoshop affair, but believe us when we say this is very real and you can pre-order one right now... if you live in Australia that is. 

There has been no official word on whether or not it is official yet, but judging by the prices it seems more likely to be a third-party product than a Nintendo one, as the SNES pad is going for $48 whilst the genuine Pro Controller is still on sale for $78.
