Tower Control mode and Splatfest coming to Splatoon this week

A brand new mode will be made avilable to Splatoon players this Thursday, with Tower Control set to become the second mode playable in Ranked Battles.
In Tower Control, you have to control the top of a tower (funnily enough) which will move towards your opponent's goal so long as you have team-mates occupying it. If the time runs out, whoever has moved the tower the closest towards their opponent's goal wins.
It is only playable in Ranked Battles, meaning your ranking is at stake, but there is big money to be won if you are victorious.
Then, coming on Saturday, is the game's first Splatfest event. In Splatfests, the world of Splatoon turns into night-time as two teams duke it out for the honour of which side comes out on top. In the inaugral Splatfest, the theme is 'Rock vs Pop', so be sure to choose a side the next time you fire up the game.
The Splatfest starts this Saturday from 18:00 BST.
You can also get a sneak peak of Tower Control mode on Nintendo Treehouse from 23:00 BST tonight here.
