Nintendo has revealed two new members of its handheld family due to arrive in Europe before the year's end - translucent iterations of the Nintendo 2DS system.
To coincide with the release of the Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire remakes, the red and blue systems will release in November. You can get the Transparent Red plus Pokémon Omega Ruby, and the Transparent Blue plus Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, as bundles from November 28th.
Alternatively, if you just want the 2DS system without Pokémon, the translucent systems be available to buy separately from November 7th.
It's the first time we've seen a translucent Nintendo system get a prominent release (aside from unofficial mods, of course) since the launch of the original Game Boy Advance, which is sweet.
The Nintendo 2DS has all the capabilities of the 3DS, save for the 3D screen. It can play all Nintendo 3DS games.
