Turok is coming to the Switch

Certainly anyone who can remember back to the origins of this very site as N64Europe.com will surely have fond memories of the N64 classic Turok Dinosaur Hunter which came out early in the systems life.
It was famed for bringing a new breed of First Person Shooter to the console as it worked very well with the N64 controller and was on-par with PC quality graphics at the time... mostly.
Of course it was also rather famous for its "fog" effects which were due to the limited draw distance, but generally it's looked upon fondly by those who played it the first time round on the console.
These days you can experience Turok on just about every modern platform thanks to the work of Nightdive Studios who handled the remastered version a few years ago.
Now things have come full circle as Turok makes its way back to a Nintendo platform with the Switch getting a release of the game on the eShop on March 18th 2019 at a price of around £15 or thereabouts.
Check below for the details and the trailer for the original release of the remaster...

An evil overlord known as 'The Campaigner' seeks to shred the fabric of time and rule the universe using an ancient artifact known as 'The Chronoscepter'. The Chronoscepter was shattered thousands of years ago in an effort to keep it from falling into evil hands. The Campaigner has constructed a massive focusing array which he plans to use to magnify and pervert the power of the Chronoscepter in order to shatter the barriers between the ages and rule the universe. Turok has vowed to find the eight pieces of the Chronoscepter spread throughout the Lost Land and put an end to The Campaigner's evil plot...
