Two new ZombiU gameplay videos provide the creeps

One of the flagship Wii U launch titles is undoubtedly Ubisoft's ZombiU. At this junction, you'd probably be forgiven for being somewhat sceptical about the prospect of a well-hyped launch game for a Nintendo system that comes from Ubisoft, but ZombiU arrived on the scene looking great at E3, and has a pretty original concept behind it to boot.
Long gone seem to be the days of Killer Freaks From Outer Space. ZombiU eschews the recent conventions of 'run-and-gun' pseudo-horror games, instead opting for a far creepier atmosphere that's built around the idea of surviving.
You take on the role of a character who finds oneself in an unfortunately ravaged London. You get bitten from a zombie once, you die. Permanently. There are no checkpoints or save functions - instead you merely inherit the role of a different survivor, at a different location. Maybe you'll then run into one of your previous characters in their zombie-state, and killing them will gain the loot you earned in that play-through.
Your only chance of surviving the night is to scavange the game world for weapons and equipment, and to efficiently utilise your GamePad, which is the portal to your 'survival kit', allowing you to pick locks and generally stay alive.
A couple of new videos from the game's updated build have hit the web. Check them out below.
ZombiU is planned to release alongside the Wii U system later this year.
