Ubisoft to release Rayman Legends online challenges exclusively on Wii U eShop

Despite having the game completed in their Montpellier offices, it still looks as though Ubisoft has no intention of releasing Rayman Legends on Wii U in the near future, even though the game had a February release date not too long ago.

However, in an attempt to quell the righteous anger of Rayman fans, Ubisoft had promised that they would deliver something playable towards the way of Wii U owners before the game's new September release. The company has now revealed what that concession will be.

Wii U owners will be able to download free challenges from the game's Challenge Mode, which can played in single or multi player. You can also take your high scores online. They will be released for free on the eShop from the beginning of April.

Here's Ubisoft's Michael Micholic and Michel Ancel - who both supported the fan-protest against the delay - explaining the deal.
