Hyrule Historia, the mammoth Legend of Zelda artbook, was released in Japan for the 25th Anniversary celebration of the series. The book features concept art, detailed descriptions of games and... the official Zelda time-line. This is set to put a stop to forum debates forever.

The book is going to release outside of Japan next year, hitting the US on January 29th 2013 for about $34.99 (£22).

UK and Australian releases are also confirmed but no date has been set so far. Dark Horse Books, responsible for releasing Hyrule Historia outside of Japan, said they are translating even the smallest of hand-written notes. 

"[Hyrule Historia] is a page-for-page adaptation of the Japanese version with some minor tweaks. We are even translating the smallest of hand-written notes on the concept designs, some stuff that was too small to be legible in the Japanese version."

Unseen concept art from each game is included along with comments from people who worked on the series, including Shigeru Miyamoto.
