Watch Dragon Quest X-themed Nintendo Direct in its entirety

Earlier today, Nintendo of Japan broadcast another short Nintendo Direct conference. It didn't involve any new announcements - instead, it was specifically for Square-Enix's upcoming Nintendo-exclusive Dragon Quest X.

If, like us, you don't understand a lick of Japanese, you might wonder what exactly was discussed, but the full video is now available and contains plenty of in-game footage of the online RPG.

Dragon Quest X is a massively-multiplayer online RPG - a risky first for the series. However, the game still looks fairly familiar, with a more dynamic twist added to the turn-based combat, and the return of comprehensive character customization options.

Check out how the game's shaping up on Wii in the full video.

Dragon Quest X is slated to release in Japan on both Wii and Wii U, with the former version having a confirmed release date of August 2nd. Western release details are yet to be announced.
