Wii and GameCube VC comes to Nividia Shield in China

In a rather unexpected move, classic Wii titles such as New Super Mario Bros Wii, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Punch-Out have been released on the Nividia Switch in Mainland China as part of a partnership deal. GameCube titles will also be released in the future, as well as Wii title Super Mario Galaxy, but no details on those have been announced.
The games feature 1080p support via up-scaling and are priced at around £8/€9. The Nividia Shield itself retails for around £169/€192.
The deal only applies to Mainland China and it is expected to stay that way, but given the fact the Switch shares a lot of the same architecture as the Nividia Shield it is hopefully a sign of things to come for Nintendo's console.
More details, photos and videos can be found courstesy of analyst Daniel Ahmad on his Twitter account and the (unofficial) Chinese Nintendo Twitter account. A trailer for the announcement is available here, while fans wanting to see Twilight Princess in action should look here.
