Wii Street U launches in Japan

Wii Street U launched in Japan yesterday and enables Japanese gamers to discover the world around them with their Wii U GamePad.

The application from Nintendo and Google is free to download until May and will allow users to pinch, prod and click their way through a virtual map.

You can use the screens keyboard to type in specific places or just go travelling, using the touch screen to glide your way all around the world. Street View is enabled in the app too, which allows you to move your GamePad around the room to get a full view of the area on screen.

No announcements have been made as of yet regarding a European release so stay tuned for more as it breaks.

Do you want to see Wii Street U released in Europe? Or are you just happy to see Iwata wearing a Google camera?
