Nintendo and internet browsers don't always go together too well so you can't help but gasp every time specifications for their latest browsers surface but you'll be glad to know the Wii U is getting a lot right...

Firstly though, the bad news. The Wii U browser won't allow you to upload, download or save files and it also won't support plug-ins, such as flash. 

Thankfully though, the Wii U will outperform "all current generations by a long way" according to an HTML 5 comparison as it will run a NetFront browser (NX v2.1). The browser also boasts HD video playback as it supports H.264 (MPEG-4 AVC Video) and AAC codecs for high quality sound.
