Wii U will launch in Europe on November 30th, it has been confirmed.
Like in Japan, there will be two versions available at launch. The Basic pack gets you a white Wii U console with 8GB of internal flash memory, a white Wii U GamePad, AC adaptors for the system and controller and a HDMI cable.
The Premium version includes a black console with 32GB of flash memory, a black GamePad, AC adaptors, a HDMI cable, a stand and cradle for the console and GamePad, a sensor bar, and a copy of Nintendo Land.
Like in Japan, the Premium version also lets you be part of the Nintendo Network Premium scheme. This allows you to claim back up to 10% back on download purchases in the form of points, and then lets you redeem those points once you have collected enough (500 points is equal to €5). This scheme will run through til the end of 2014. Points will not be redeemable from day one, but when the scheme is in place, you'll be able to redeem points retroactively for all your download purchases.
If you don't already have a Wii, you'll be able to buy a Wii Remote+ Additional Set, which is a pack containing a Wii Remote Plus, Nunchuck, and sensor bar.
As usual, prices are retailer-led, but expect to get a picture of where they'll lie very soon.
