While Wii U sales have been a hot topic as of late, there is no denying that last week's release of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD has helped the console gain some momentum.

Nintendo has informed MCV that following its release last Friday, the game has helped bolster the Wii U's sales by 685%.

The game released alongside a special edition hardware bundle and it seems many gamers were holding out for that.

Nintendo is set to really ramp up marketing as we approach Christmas, and with a LEGO City Undercover bundle due out shortly and more on the horizon, things can only get better.
