One of the biggest announcements to come out of Nintendo Direct was undoubtedly the reveal of Wind Waker HD, a HD remake of the GameCube classic.

The most exciting part about this news is the fact that this is not merely an upscaled GameCube game, but a true remake in the same vein as Ocarina of Time on 3DS.

The game boasts more than just stunning visuals thugh, as Nintendo promise to 'tune up the original experience' and add challenges. The game will also give you the option to play entirely on the GamePad. 

The good news doesn't end there though. Iwata revealed that a brand new Zelda title is in the works for Wii U and Wind Waker HD is merely a nice gesture to help ease the wait for the new title.
