To commemorate the imminent launch of Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, Nintendo of Europe has confirmed that special edition New Nintendo 3DS faceplates will be accompanying the game in our humble region.

Sporting the iconic red theme of the Monado blade, the removable faceplates are for, don't forget, those who own a standard-sized New Nintendo 3DS. The game itself - a port of the unparalleled Wii RPG - is exclusive on New Nintendo 3DS.

It looks like the faceplates are currently exclusive on Nintendo's official online store. It also looks like they can only be ordered bundled with the game. You can also pre-order both the faceplates and the game with a New Nintendo 3DS.

Both the game and the plates release in Europe on April 2nd.
