Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair announced for Switch

We were all wondering what exactly Playtonic has been working on since finishing up all of the patches on their debut Kickstarter platformer known as Yooka-Laylee.

And now it seems they have revealed that their latest project called Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is a 2.5D sequel of sorts which looks set to showcase an intersting new perspective incorporating Donkey Kong Country: Returns style gameplay for the main levels with an overhead 3D section forming the main hub.

Featuring both David Wise and Grant Kirkhope on the musical score and some really nice visuals with charming animation, it's hard to see how this could be anything but delightful when it releases.
