Yooka-Laylee is shaping up to be every N64 gamer's dream come true.  Former Rare staff successfully funded the title on Kickstarter a while back and have just released a brand new trailer for E3.

The title takes elements that we loved from that era - vibrant worlds and characters, beautiful soundtracks and gibberish talking noises - but adds 15+ years of experience and new technology to deliver a title that not only looks to the past, but hopefully helps shape the future.

With the trailer comes confirmation that Yooka-Laylee will now be releasing in Q1 2017, towards the end of the Wii U's life cycle given that the NX is due to launch in March 2017 and it is assumed it will replace the Wii U.  We can't think of a better send off.
