Here are the first images ever of Pokémon Ranger for Nintendo DS. Interestingly, development is being overseen by HAL Laboratory (creators of Super Smash) and regular Pokémon developers Game Freak.

We still know very little about the game, though it's current Japanese subtitle makes it sound like a prelude to the main games Pokéfans are really waiting for: Diamond and Pearl.
