Nintendo are apparently launching an MP3 attachment to arrive with the Game Boy Micro in Europe! Read on for more...

French gaming site Jeux-France has announced details of the Nintendo MP3 player, which will apparently allow you to transfer music files easily to the Micro, effectively turning it into a mini-walkman.

The device will launch in Europe around the Micro's November 4th launch, although not much else is clear right now. Is this finally the European launch of the much heralded Play-Yan device? If so, does it play movie files as well?

Update: Nintendo UK today informed Cube-Europe that the Play-Yan will not be released alongside the Gamey Boy Micro this November as previously reported. The good news is that Nintendo UK finally provided us with an official release date for the Play-Yan. The bad news is that the media add on is not to be released until Q1 2006 in Europe. I guess we will have to wait a little longer until we can transform our Game Boys into MP3 players. More as it breaks!
